March Boxycharm

It's that time again ladies! My March Boxycharm has arrived and I could not be more excited. I only got to see one sneak peek before I got my box, so I was totally surprised when I opened it up. Let me tell you, they have absolutely outdone themselves this time. I am loving each and every one of the products they sent this month.

The first thing in my box was the one I knew would be in there. It was the Pur-lisse moisturizer. It is $55.00 a tube! It is pretty self explanatory, so just use it after you cleanse daily /nightly and enjoy the benefits. I have been using it for a few days and adore it!
Next was the nail polish. It is by StrangeBeautiful and goes for about $18.00. I have never heard of this company before, but was anxious to give it a try. And let me just tell you, this has got to be one of the best nail polishes I have used. The consistency of the polishes was just perfect, thick (not too thick) and creamy. The colors are just to die for as well. My favorite is the pink color, the gray is gorgeous too, but with spring coming I lean towards the lighter colors. This is just ONE coat in the picture. I was in awe of the coverage this polish gives.
Next up is the Belleperre Shimmer powder in the shade Earth and the bellapierre makeup base. Ladies, this stuff is GORGEOUS! The shimmer powder sells for $14.99, while the base is $18.99. These are MUST HAVES and have taken a spot in my everyday makeup bag. The base goes on smooth and can be used to make the shimmer more of a matte finish or can even be used as concealer!  The shimmer powder is so pretty and has fantastic color payoff, even with just one swipe of the brush. Very very pretty with just one swipe or can build it up. I use it with my Lorac unzipped palette for a complete look. The picture just does not do it justice.
Lastly, I got a Party Proof Cream Lipstick from ModelCO.  The shade I got is a very bright pink and the color is intense. It glides on easily and keeps my lips moisturized for hours. This lipstick has pure staying power. I swatched it on the back of my hand yesterday, and it has withstood handwashing and sleep and all my daily activities. It is getting a little faint but it is still there and that, to me is very impressive. On the case there is even a little mirror, I thought that was pure genius. This is sold for $17.00.

After adding everything up, this box is worth $123.98. and I got it all for $21.00!! What a steal. I also, subscribe to Ipsy and I love it, but I must say Boxycharm is quickly becoming my favorite sub service as of yet. They really hit a homerun this time. I love everything in the box and will use it regularly. If you aren't already and wish to subscribe please use this link

Ipsy February 2014

The whole reason I started this blog, is to let you know about the products I received in my monthly Ipsy bag. Isn't t funny that I have been getting the bag for three months now, and this is my first review?! Well, I must say that February's bag is my favorite so far, and I am very excited to tell you all about it.This months theme was "Looks of Love" and  I got my bag on Valentine's Day, so I found that very fitting.

The first thing I want to review, is the POP Beauty Plump Pout. Mine came in Fuchsia Freesia. Upon looking at in in the tube, I was very worried about what looked to be the hot pink lip gloss, but I decided to give it a shot anyway. I was surprised the color was not as intimidating as it looks in the tube and very pretty, but probably something I won't wear until summer. However, there is a slight smell of burned rubber coming from the gloss. At first, I wasn't sure if it was coming for the gloss itself, or the container, but it is most definitely the gloss. It is not completely overpowering so I will still use it once in a while.

Next up, is the Tini Beauty Cordial Cream eyeshadow. I got mine in violet and I adore it. It goes on smooth and is one of the prettiest shades I have ever seen. The only downfall of this product is the packaging.  There was some confusion among some people thinking it was a lip gloss because of the tube and the applicator. That is not enough to keep me from buying it though, it is absolutely gorgeous!

Then we have the Zoya nail polish. It was probably one of the most anticipated things in the Ipsy bag this month. I got mine in Dot, which is a very very pale shade of pink. It is a beautiful color, but too light for me, maybe I will use it for accents or such. It will take probably take a few coats to get the full color payoff, especially since it is so light, but it's a keeper. The picture I am about to post is simply one coat, and very sloppy so keep that in mind.

In my bag, I also got the J.Cat eyelashes in EL13. They are so pretty, I wish I knew how to apply them so that I could try them out. I got lashes in all 3 boxes I received this month and this is the ONLY one that came with lash glue, so that is a major plus.

I also got the Skyn Iceland clay mask. I have not used it yet, as I got another mask in my Voxbox and used it already. I do not want to over process my face so it will go to my bestie to give me a review on it!

Thank you so much for taking the time out to read my thoughts on Ipsy. If you like what you see, and aren't subscribed yet, please use my link  http://www.ipsy.com/r/1h2c . Thank you so much. Until next time!

J'adore Voxbox from Influenster!

I was selected and received the J'adore VoxBox from Influenster. All the products included were free for me to test, but these are my true and honest opinions of these products. When I got my VoxBox I was pleasantly surprised (my first box) by the size and amount of products in the box. Please note, there was also a bag of Hershey's Kisses in the box as well, but they did not make it past my kiddos.
My kids and their Hershey's Kisses shenanigans. This product really doesn't need reviewing. We love them, plain and simple.

The one product that really captured my attention was the Boots Botanics Shine Away Ionic Clay Mask. It is a deep cleansing mineral rich clay mask. I could not wait to try this mask, and I think it is my favorite product from the box. It left my skin softer and smoother than I can ever remember. At $9.39 this will most definitely make it into my weekly beauty routine.

Next was the Kiss lashes. They are very pretty and soft. I am sure I would adore them, if I could figure out how to put them on correctly. It would have been nice to have some lash glue included, so that I could have immediately tried them on. Luckily though, I had some glue included with the lashes from my Ipsy bag, so I could try them out. These are $3.99 at Walgreens and CVS.

I am in love with the Frizz Ease as well. I am only on day 2 with this but already my hair is so much smoother and softer. That is probably because its Keratin infused formula. I will use this every time I straighten my hair. You can pick this up for $9.99. Small investment to keep your hair shiny, smooth and protect it from the heat of flat irons.

I also got a few single serve packages of the Red Rose Creme Caramel Tea. This was so rich and yummy, I love it. It is the perfect way to unwind after long days stuck inside with the kids because of the snow. I could see myself relaxing with this every night right before bedtime.

Influenster was also so kind as to include something for my husband.  They sent him  Vaseline Men Spray Lotion. I love love love this! It is very moisturizing and not at all oily, like I thought it would be. It comes out in a continuous spray so you don't have to keep pumping and pumping. Very easy to use and the smell is to die for. I love it.

Thank you so much Influenster, for including me in this VoxBox. It was amazing!

February 2014 Boxycharm

I received my February Boxycharm today, way before I expected it! I must say that the packaging this month was too cute. It arrived and was the standard sleek black box, with a pink ribbon, but when I opened it this is what it looked like. I thought it was completely adorable.

So, I was super excited for the Nars nail polish, as I think everyone was. In the sneak peek, they showed a gorgeous pink color. I know the colors vary box to box, so I was hoping for a pretty pink, purple or red to celebrate Valentines day. But, when I opened my box I was immediately disappointed to find my nail polish was a mustard yellow, one of my least favorite colors. The disappointment did not last long though, my girls staked claim to it within minutes so no big loss for me, if they are happy, I am happy :) You'll need at least two coats of polish with this, like most other polishes but nevertheless, this full-size polish retails for $19.00.

The next product I got was the Mirabella Eye Definer in Bronze. It is a full-size product and retails for $19.00. I wasn't excited about this, until I swatched it. This is so creamy and glides on effortlessly and the color is fantastic and it even blends well. I think this would make a great water liner as well as eyeliner and would make a beautiful smokey eye effect.

Up next is the full-sized  Mirabella LA LA Lips. It retails at $23.00. The color I got is Love Velvet. Now, this lip pencil is amazing. It is smooth and creamy and glides on beautifully with a satin finish. It has intense color pay off and very moisturizing. I would be in love with this, had the color been right, but it is just a little too bright for me.
I also got a blush from Pandora's Makeup Box in Misty Pink. The sale point of this is $18.00.  First I have to say the packaging is absolutely adorable. I love it just because of that. The blush gives pretty good color payoff, but it is a bit chalky. I don't use blushes much, so this will be going to my good friend that loves it :)

Last, but not least there is the Eyelashi hand tied lashes. I have never worn lashes before, but I guess I better get practicing because I am getting lashes in my Ipsy bag as well. I can say that these lashes are gorgeous, if I can get them on correctly. I just wish they would have came with glue, so I can try these out. These are priced at $9.00.

All in all I paid $21.00 for a box that totaled $88.00. Even though the box was take it or leave it, mostly because of the colors I got, I am still happy with it. If you are thinking of joining Boxycharm, please consider using my referral link, Thank you for reading!

Boxycharm

In mid/late January, I decided to subscribe to Boxycharm Subscription Service. The reason I decided to join this particular service is because it is mostly full sized products. It is a little more than most similar beauty boxes, but since they are full size products, I feel it is a better value than other sample services. Since I subscribed so late in the month, I finally received my box in the first week of February, and this is what I received.

The first thing I pulled from the box, and what I was most excited for, was the body polish. It is called  Reveille Reveille Warm Vanilla Body Polish. This is a full size product that is valued at $16.75. This product is an exfoliating, moisturizing scrub treatment for the body. It polishes away dead surface cells and skin-dulling debris to reveal smoother, softer skin. This is definitely true to it's name. It does exactly what it says and smells oh so yummy too. It smells like sugar cookie dough! I love it!

The second thing I pulled from the box was Be a Bombshell Eye Shadow in the color "Birthday Suit". It is a full sized product and is valued at $14.00. While I love BaB products, I will not likely use this, as the color does not show up on my skin. I tried to swatch it for you, but the camera wouldn't even pic it up, but it would make a great base or even a highlighter.

Now, the next thing I pulled out was the Ofra Liquid Lipstick in the color "Angeles". Due to the color of this product, I expected to hate it from the start. I am not one for nude colors. However, I decided to swatch it, and I am so glad I did. It turned out to be a gorgeous peachy pink color, not the bland nude brown it looks to be in the packaging. This goes on smooth and creamy  and while it looks like a gloss, it feels like a lipstick!! I LOVE this product and I believe it is my favorite out of this box. This is a full-sized product and values at $19.90.

Next came the SPAritual Nail Laquer. Now, the unboxings I had watched on youtube, there were 2 different variations of this polish. The one I received, is called "Quiet Storm" the other was a deeper red color. I originally was hoping for the red, but I am happy that i got the one I did. It is a soft pink color that is just gorgeous. I would recommend at least two coats to get the full beauty out of this product. Another interesting fact is, that this is 100% pure Vegan Nail Lacquer. It is a full sized product valued at $12.00.

The final product that i got in my box, was not one that I had seen in other peoples videos. Originally there was supposed to be a gel eye liner by model inc, but there was some sort of problem with the product, so I got something else. What I got was Deep Sea Cosmetics Intensive Revival Facial Serum.  This is a highly concentrated Vitamin C serum that restores essential moisture from within. Now, I have not had a chance to use this yet, but the packaging is absolutely gorgeous and the little sample size is valued at $49.99! Not bad for a $21.00 a month subscription if you ask me!

So, overall my first Boxycharm box was a complete success and I can not wait to get more! Thanks for reading!! Please consider using my referral link if you want to sign up!

Awaiting My Monthly Subscription

I have never, ever blogged before. I set this up because I recently got off the waitlist for the Ipsy glambags, and I am super excited to get my first bag. I wanted to let everyone out there know how I felt about the products and the subscription service itself. So, for now, this is me, impatiently waiting....
